Welcome to Herbs and Pots Pottery\

  I have owned and operated Herbs and Pots Pottery since 2006. I design and create functional dishes that are useful and durable in a variety of food-safe glazes. The shapes are simple and the glazes reflect the colors, shades and brights of nature.  

    The studio and the retail shop share one big space so most of the time you will find the potter at work. This set up allows you to see the work in all stages of progress: wheel throwing, trimming of the leatherhard pieces,  glazing, decorating bisqueware or loading and unloading of the kiln.

      I hope my pottery will have a chance of adding  natural and simple beauty as well as spirit and energy to your everyday life.

  • Clays and glazes

     

    I use two different  stoneware clay bodies, a smooth white and an earthy red. Both clays are AP Non-Toxic.

    The colors of the glazes reflect nature: earth, sky, trees, herbs and  mountain waters. You will find greens, blues, browns and creams. 

    All glazes are food-safe. Each pottery piece is quite durable and should give you years of enjoyment.
